The seal of King Solomon for Retribution the Sixth Seal of Saturn is the strongest amulet, belonging to the category of seals used to work with dark forces. Powerful pentacle of Solomon, made out of silver of the highest standard, has tremendous energy of the devil and requires special treatment. Sacred signs, engraved around the inner circumference, call upon the spirits of Saturn for protection and patronage.
It is believed that if you read the prayer correctly and give the name of the enemy, then he will be defeated by a dibbook. Be careful with the use of this amulet. As a gift for the pendant you will receive a chain and a case for storing the seal. Please allow 30 days for your order to arrive. Listed below is the order of importance for each spell in your damage rotation. Please note that the list below does not factor in seal twisting, but I will touch on that later in the guide.
This guide assumes you are using the talent build that can be found at talents page and are playing a max level character. If you are looking for leveling-based help, please refer to leveling page for a leveling-specific rotation.
Seal twisting is a very advanced tactic and can be difficult to pull off but if successful can help increase your damage considerably. Seal twisting is gaining the benefit of two seals on an auto-attack swing. The way seal twisting is performed is by attacking a mob with Seal of Command up and in the last. Twisting is nearly impossible without a swing timer of some kind so consider downloading either an addon or a WeakAura to track your melee swings. The rotation while seal twisting is considerably different and can be quite challenging as it is a constantly-updating list of priorities as opposed to a set rotation you can follow.
Below I will include the priorities in order from most important to least. Your Blessings are incredibly powerful buffs that should be kept up at all times.
You will want to coordinate with the other Paladins in your raid to see who should be buffing what on each class, since you can only use one on any given person at a time. With the Greater Blessings, they will last 30 minutes, so you generally will not need to worry about refreshing them in the middle of a fight, but you will want to check between pulls to make sure none are in danger of falling off.
A Ret Paladin should be using Seal of Truth for all boss fights, in both 5-mans and raids. It is also optimal for trash up to 3 mobs. Using this at 4 mobs or greater will usually yield a larger DPS gain, mainly thanks to the [ Seals of Command ] talent. Also, SoR is going to be your main leveling seal, right up until Cataclysm leveling content. At around level 83 or so, if you are taking longer to kill mobs, try switching to SoT.
You can use any of the following Seals as a Ret Paladin in PvP, though each hinges upon situational and group needs. Seal of Truth is going to be used in situations where you are on a single target for a certain length of time. This is usually my main PvP seal. For burst damage, and fights where you are constantly changing targets, Seal of Righteousness wil be your go-to seal.
But, if you are on a single target for a longer period of time, SoR loses its effectiveness, and as mentioned above, SoT is the way to go. Aimed at keeping you and others alive longer. If you are a Paladin that plays a support role, or functions as a true PvP hybrid, this is the seal for you when the situation arises.
Many Paladins are burst damage PvPers when Avenging Wrath and Zealotry are available, then go into support mode for the 2-minute gaps between. While everything is always situational, Seal of Insight does offer some value.
This includes mounts. Good ideastho, but imo SOJ is nowdays best seal for arena at least for 3v3, 5v5 since paladin is mainly chasing healer because of his strong immunity against slowing effects it comes very handy to slow them down….
Well before the patch SoT was best option, Ive played hybrid with massing mastery to get high proc chance for Word of Glory and keeping others alive and I had to loose target to heal others and then return to enemy healer and refresh SoT on him and it worked well.
Now with DPS boost is best to keep SoJ and annoy enemy healer and when cooldowns pop up nuke him down but it is essential to keep him close so you can cause solid dps all the time and dont give any time to help others. Great for keeping flag carriers under control.
